Our Kids Count

Our Kids Count (OKC) is a community development program aimed at fostering the health and development of children ages 6 and under. We build stronger families and inclusive communities by en-hancing people’s lives through personal growth and develop-ment. OKC involves participants in all aspects of program planning, implementation, and evaluation. Through other funding sources and community partnerships, OKC provides support to individuals of all ages – men, women, youth, teens and families with children.

They deliver programming through a variety of methods. Currently, we offer programs in two Family Resource Centres in the City of Thunder Bay. At these centres, parents are able to register for skill building and/or educational programs, while their children are cared for by trained Early Childhood Education workers.
